“And the Lord said to Moses, Thus shall you say to the Israelites, You have seen for yourselves that I have talked with you from heaven. You shall not make [gods to share] with Me [My glory and your worship]; gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.” Exodus 20:22-23 (AMP)

God speaks to us in a different way now. He doesn’t shout out from the Heavens sounding like James Earl Jones or Morgan Freeman. He speaks from within us. He speaks through the Holy Spirit.
He speaks in a very familiar way. He is no stranger. But just like any ill-nurtured friendship, it is subject to miscommunication. The more we do not nurture our relationship with the Lord, the more we do not understand what He is saying. And the more confusing it is for us to understand Him, the easier the enemy can screw up the lines of communication with the Father.
The enemy can do this by taking the place of God and spread misunderstanding, convincing us that is fine to compromise the good. All of us have gone haywire from conversing with God. We stopped hearing from Him. For, we only prefer to hear only ourselves. But we see that there is a spiritual battle within us. If we are possessed by the enemy we will do nothing but evil. Although sometimes we choose to be good, kind, and loving to everyone; most of the time, we spread misinformation. Through aggression, we spread the message that God is dead. With our so-called intellect, we rationalize that God, whom is perceived as the God of the Gaps, is not anymore significant due to science. By logic, we have deduced that we are god. In a life far away from the Lord, the enemy fills in the gap of God in our hearts, proclaiming us as gods.
Still, no matter how far and deep in sin we were, the great news is that we weren’t so far from the eternally out stretched arms of our Lord’s saving grace. Although there could have been a time when we were hopeless, God finds a way. God is impossible. Thus, with Him everything else is possible.
A lot of us has heard Him speak to us, and has changed us. Some of us gave in easier, we saw that our circumstances can not deny His power any longer. We surrendered the futile fight to the perpetual victor. We gave up our lives to Him, our true Lord, the one and only God, Jesus Christ. Although some of our friends are still not with us, they will come forward too in God’s perfect time. God’s strategy to save us never failed, He will reveal Himself to our loved ones.
As His children, we just have to love our brothers and sisters with the same love He has given us. We only have to respond in love and that’s all. Let’s love them and let God do the rest.
“Yeshua gazed at them and he said to them, “This is impossible with the children of men, but everything is possible with God.” Matthew 19:26 (Aramaic Bible in English)
